It can be super overwhelming at times, so we say… just take it in baby steps! like start with just drinking enough water each day.
the generic answer is the “8 x 8” answer, or 8 – 8 ounce glasses per day. but we found this cool hydration calculator if you want to get more specific to your own body and lifestyle – hydration calculator »

water can be boring, ha ha, so we put together a few tips here to motivate you to create a water habit…
- a thermos
get a reusable thermos or a water bottle that you can refill. but make it a habit to always have one with you. that’s really the first step – just having water around.
- 15 minute drink
make it a goal to just take a drink of water every 15 minutes. it will get you used to remembering to drink some.
- drink it warm
room temperature water may not be for everyone, but we actually find it’s easier to drink a lot more if it’s not extremely cold.
- flavored water
make flavored waters so you actually want to drink it!
cut up 4 to 5 lemons and put them in a pitcher. twist or bruise 1 cup of peppermint or spearmint leaves into the container. fill with fresh, cool water. chill in refrigerator. strain and drink! it’s super refreshing, lemon boosts metabolism and has antibacterial properties, and peppermint settles your tummy and helps freshen your breath.
take 1 whole cucumber, scrub and slice it up and put it into a pitcher. add water and chill overnight. cucumber water has vitamin C for your immune system, vitamin K for your bones, and vitamin A for your eyes and liver. it also has fiber to help with digestion and weight loss.
take raspberries, boysenberries, and sliced strawberries and smush them down slightly at the bottom of a pitcher. add water and chill for a few hours. raspberries have vitamin C for your immune system and vitamin A for your eyes and liver, boysenberries have folate for energy and VItamin E for your cells and skin, and strawberries have tons of Vitamin C too, and manganese for your bones.
