Peace, Love and Ombré

8842914688?profile=originalThat's So New YorkOne of the hottest hair trends in 2011 is the ombré (French for gradation) hair color. What was once considered to be “too long in-between highlights” is now a stylist’s most sought after beauty trick. Lily Aldridge is one of the pioneering models to wear these ombré tresses. This Los Angeles native beauty started her career by appearing on the August 2003 issue of Spanish Vogue. Since then, she has modeled in commercials for Levi’s, become a Victoria Secret Angel and appeared in a video for the Kings of Leon. Ombré hair has gone from the runways to the salons. Extreme ombré hair (too dark roots), is however, making an exit, says Johnny Ramirezof the Neil George Salon in Beverly Hills. If blended properly, this ombré hair will make you look younger and give your hair dimension. - Contributor - Stephanie Hedrick
