The basic beauty tools every girl can use.
miss jenna is our beauty addicted glam princess, and she loves to gush about all things makeup. she also knows that beauty tools can be a lil’ hard to figure out, so she’s giving us a bit of a beauty school session on her most essential beauty tools.
think the basic tools a girl needs for everything from daily makeup to date night. brushes, sharpeners, curlers, and cleaner. here’s jenna’s quick guide to her must-haves, and what they’re used for.
Covered Sharpener
gotta have a sharpener in tow for keeping all of your liners and pencils in sharp shape. and a covered sharpener is a must have because it catches all of the shavings, and keeps you from making a makeup mess.
Kabuki Brush
this is def jenna’s most important everyday beauty tool. a kabuki brush is a full, round brush, for all over application of powders, bronzers, blushers. really good for loose powders, and mineral makeup.
Brow & Lash Comb
the “brush” side is for shaping your eyebrows, and evening out any eyebrow pencil or powder. the “comb” side is for separating your eyelashes, and removing any yucky clumps.
Angled Face Brush
an angled face brush is perfect for creating apple cheeks. use it to contour cheekbones, and apply more concentrated blush.
Eyelash Curler
curling your lovely lashes open eyes up, and sets your mascara longer.
Blender Sponges
blender sponges are the best way to apply any kind liquid or cream makeup, like foundation and concealer.
Brush Cleaner
a lot of girlies skip this one, but think about it… your brushes touch your face all the time, clean or not clean, when you’re in a rush, when you’re touching up – then they lay around – then they mix your makeups – then they go through it all again… there are plenty of reasons to clean those brushes for your prettyface 🙂 .
Eye Shadow Brush
a soft shadow brush is great for applying a light & soft all over eye shadow, for applying your base color, or for adding a darker color to your creases to create dramatic impact with your eyes.
